The Ausangate Trek to Rainbow Mountain (4 days) is an extraordinary high-altitude adventure that combines the pristine beauty of the Vilcanota mountain range with one of Peru’s most iconic natural wonders—the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). This trek takes you through a world of dramatic contrasts: snow-capped peaks, colorful valleys, turquoise lakes, and remote Andean villages where life has remained unchanged for centuries.

Unlike the short day trip to Rainbow Mountain, this multi-day trek offers a deeper, more authentic experience, allowing you to witness the stunning landscapes at a slower pace and away from the crowds. You’ll cross high mountain passes above 5,000 meters (16,400 ft), encounter herds of llamas and alpacas, and camp under a sky filled with stars.

The adventure culminates with a visit to the spectacular Rainbow Mountain, where its vibrant mineral colors create a surreal panorama. This is a perfect choice for experienced hikers who seek adventure, cultural connection, and some of the most breathtaking views in the Andes
